As a senior mechanical engineer with extensive experience in facilities design, construction, commissioning and qualification, project management, and personnel management, Rudy's career has included a balance between consulting and working directly in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
He has taken a lead role in defining and implementing best practices in capital project management for various companies; has designed mechanical systems for a broad range of pharmaceutical, biotech and life sciences applications, as well as countless industrial, commercial and institutional facilities; has experience in the design and construction of vivaria and biocontainment facilities to Level 3; has managed capital project portfolios with an annual budget in the order of $30 MCAD; and has sat on various senior management boards and committees in the consulting and manufacturing sectors. Rudy currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Canadian affiliate of ISPE – the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering.
